If like me you love your food and amazing coffee than this is the place to go! Strong Adolfos is a wonderful little cafe right on the Atlantic highway situated between St Columb Major and Wadebridge. You are sure to be greeted by their very welcoming staff. The cafe is run by John and Mathilda, and it has an eclectic mix of Cornish/Swedish design inspired by the surf and motorcycle subcultures.
There are fantastic views overlooking the lush green fields of the Atlantic highway, which on a glorious Cornish sunny day is very picturesque with nearly panoramic views. There is ample parking, the car park in front of Strong Adolfos has step access to the cafe but there is also a slip road that directs you to the back car park which has disabled access to the Strong Adolfos.
So whether you fancy curling up on the sofa with a coffee in hand, a good book and a little fika or having a proper sit down lunch then this is the place for you.
There is a very relaxing casual vibe meaning it is a fantastic place to truly unwind and switch off from the general hustle and bustle of normal life, or if you just fancy having a different office for the day, then they welcome you to bring along your laptop. Strong Adolfos even lets your furry friends join you, making this place a dog owners dream, especially if you would like to unwind after visiting one of Cornwall spectacular dog friendly beaches.
The menu covers a wide range of food options from vegan and vegetarian, right up to the meat eaters dream of homemade burgers. There is an awesome specials board selection to. Desserts to die for including traditional Swedish treats (I recommend the pistachio cake).
It is so lovely to see that Strong Adolfos are also environmentally conscious using paper straws and selling a range of keep cups.
